INSERT-BioBSuzanne Holt knew at an early age that she would pursue a career in design. Growing up in the deep south, Suzanne was surrounded by gracious southern architecture and historical landmarks that inspire great design. In elementary school, Suzanne’s mother encouraged her interests by enrolling her in art classes with a well know artist who began all art instruction with mandatory class of conceptual design concepts focusing on form, color, and proportion.

Working with her grandmother who sewed home fashions as a hobby, Suzanne spent many hours in high school selecting fabrics and designing clothes and bedding. The desire to obtain an education from a renowned architectural design school led Suzanne to Auburn University and she graduated from the department of architecture with a BA in Interior Design. The program at Auburn focused on design excellence and understanding of the design process and included internships with both architectural and decorating firms.

After graduation, Suzanne moved to Houston to work for several prestigious firms including Gensler and Associates, Architects and Ziegler Cooper Architects. Her projects included banks, law firms, and corporate interiors. With a growing passion to include residential work in her projects, Suzanne opened her own consulting firm to service both commercial and residential clients.

After moving to College Station, Suzanne opened Interior Accents Inc. to provide home furnishings to clients, as well as interior design services. Suzanne continues her education by taking CEU courses yearly in topics such aging in place, lighting design, innovations in kitchen design and appliances, and green building. Shopping new sources for the latest furniture, furnishings, and materials insures that her clients will have the best and latest resources for their project.
